download size is not exactly 'un' swanky. try it.
I'm never one of the camera-bearers who decides to go out and take photos of flowers, as a specific plan. I think I only have the one other here, Plutonicdust, which was taken during the dust storms we had sweep into the city last year (a quite uncommon thing, for urban areas)...
Essentially, finding myself bored of taking photos of a little puppy who kept ruining the shots by not knowing how to pose for a camera... I decided to try my luck instead with the motionless plant-life that adorns my mother's backyard.
Something I didn't even realise until the editing of this shot, was the spider. That little thing is probably smaller than your pinky-finger's nail, but it's enough to make the arachnophobic sissy, myself, squirm.

the silhouette of fuzzy around the stem is darling.
the flower itself is so feminine and delicate it makes me hungry.
i like the idea of the loose colourful echo of its existence beside it to add interest, but i feel the choice in the magentaish colour was wrong. i would of liked to see a little whimsical flutter marking done in something less offensive to the softness of the flower.
maybe even in the same shade as the flower or lighter, like a breath of the flower. i like the black though, that worked. shape was good too.
